Personally I’m Pro Life…Gimme A Break

When The “Leader of the Free World” Is Pro Choice…Nothin’s Sacred Anymore

I’ve heard this statement from politicians so many times it’s sickening: “Well, personally I’m pro life, but politically I must _________ (fill in the blank)

If any politician (or anyone else for that matter) makes a statement like that, you can simply leave off the first five words and see exactly where his or her heart is. And it ain’t for unborn babies. I can tell you that right now.

I’m a Christian, and I realize in most circles nowadays that negates any credibility I have for expressing an intelligent thought. But as a Christian I know a limp-wristed statement like “personally I’m pro life but…yada yada yada” is double-minded. And a double minded man is “unstable in all his ways”. In other words, you can’t trust a double minded person. Period.

In order to be double minded it stands to reason you must be two-faced. The two-faced person can be smiling to your face and lying behind your back. And in the case of politicians, they don’t even bother to lie behind your back. Someone I once knew always said it like this “they’d lie if the truth sounded better.”

The so-called “leader of the free world” aka President Obama is such a person. So was his predecessor George Bush. And so was his dad, George Bush Sr. All three are radically pro abortion, and they try to get away with it by saying “personally I’m pro life”.

They probably will get away with it…in this life. But they won’t get away with it forever. One day they’ll stand before the Creator of the universe. And they’ll be without excuse. They won’t have any reason good enough. And they won’t be able to change one microscopic detail or nanosecond of what they did in this life.

To everything there is a season… And while, for now, nothin’s sacred anymore, this time shall also pass.
