OK…You Call Yourself Pro Life…But Are You Really…?
Or are you just a person who likes to be part of a “nice” cause? I know it sounds harsh, but I’d like you to examine what it means to be pro life. It isn’t just about saving unborn children. Of course, that’s the paramount issue facing our country today. But being “pro life” is so much more than that.
You know…unborn babies aren’t the only humans who are alive. They’re by far the most innocent, but certainly not the only ones. You know who else is alive? The rest of us. So, your pro life stance should, by definition, extend to your fellow man. (or woman or child) After all, if you’re not pro life for the ones you CAN see, you probably won’t have a problem letting the unseen humans die on a daily basis.
Let’s take a little poll. It’s unofficial. And I won’t even keep statistics to mull over later. This is mostly for your own (and my own) assessment of the state of our hearts.
1. Do you “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”?
2. Do you “love your neighbor as yourself”?
3. Are you aware of the relationship needs in your own household?
4. Would you rather have:
a) a brand new computer? b) a brand new car? c) $100,000? or d) 10 extra years with a loved one?
5. Do you work to listen more than you speak?
6. Do you think a loving relationship with your family is more important than a clean house?
7. And finally…do you love the Source of Life? Do you love God? Do you love Jesus? After all…apart from Him there is no life.

As always I welcome your feedback, and I’d love to read your answers to any and/or all of the questions. And here’s one final note: you can’t be a true pro lifer and disrespect yourself either. Take care of your own life. Stay healthy. The longer we pro life Christians can stay alive the worse the heathens hate it.
