Pregnancy Center In McAllen, Texas Has A 60% Conversion Rate
(And sorry I’m late in reporting…but…)

I haven’t been posting to my blog on the regular basis I was because I’ve been working on music projects for my tune businesses. I write tunes for kids, and I’ve been working on some fun, new music for my Ton-O-Fun Tunes website. And I’ve been writing praise and worship music for my church…so I’m creating a whole new set of tunes for a new website for Christians interested in some different praise and worship tunes.

That being said…I’d like to catch you up (a little) on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to.

In March I was contacted by Yolanda Chapa who runs the McAllen, Texas crisis pregnancy center. She said they were looking for a pro life musician to play some music for their fundraiser in May. And since my website is ProLifeMusician.com I popped up on the first page of her Google results. Cool!

We worked out the details, and I drove down to south Texas for the May 7th fundraiser.

I was greeted by a group of very pro life people who are vitally involved in the efforts to save our preborn neighbors…the little ones they call children…not choices. They not only talked the talk in the banquet…they walk the walk with sidewalk counseling and protesting in front of the local planned parenthood “clinic” just a couple of blocks from McAllen Pregnancy Center.

Senator Eddie Lucio emceed the event, and Bishop Daniel Flores gave a great keynote speech in English and Spanish. I’m neither Catholic nor of Hispanic descent, but I enjoyed their presentation very much. It was great to be involved with a group of like-minded people who understand that the humanity of an unborn child isn’t based on what religious affiliation we claim.

I played some background music during the dinner, and prior to the appeal they wanted me to play an appropriate song. One tune I wrote to encourage pro life advocates is a song called “We Win“. It’s a song of hope and exhortation to remember we Christians ultimately win…in spite of any losses we incur along the way…because we’re on the right team. We have Jesus. And if He’s for you, who can be against you? No one of any lasting consequence.

So I played the song, got a wonderful response, and then Senator Lucio returned to the podium and called me a “messenger of God”. Praise the Lord…I pray it’s true.

They had a great turn out with 465 people filling up the banquet hall of the McAllen Country Club. And many of the nice people came up and spoke to me afterward. I was very blessed to be a part of it. And Yolanda said they know where to look for music for next year’s event.

It would be great to be involved in similar pro life activities every day. So…I guess I’ll keep my blog going and see what happens.

Stay tuned,

Have you noticed the trend on TV toward pro life issues?

Neither have I.

In fact, there’s so much murder and mayhem you can barely tell one show from the next. And “crime solvers” have increasingly more sophisticated equipment and technology at their disposal.

Elgielene and I were talking, this morning, about how we’re gonna use our HD TV to watch only the programming we prefer. Yeah, that’s the good side of technology…you don’t have to watch the mind-numbing drivel Hollywood regularly regurgitates.

We’re looking forward to hooking our computer into the TV, downloading wholesome & uplifting content, popping some buttery popcorn, and enjoying the “little screen” again.

I wish millions more families would too. Maybe then TV networks would get a clue.

Probably not…

Stay tuned,

Let Them Be Little

Here’s a song by Billy Dean. And to this I’d add…

You can’t “let them be little” if you don’t first let them live. Check it out…

Nick Cannon’s Mom Almost Had An Abortion…

But instead she had a son. And he performed the song in this video to talk about that. I really like the very last line. Check it out…

When You Don’t “Need” The Only Source of Life,
You Commit Eternal Suicide

My Pro Life Musician blog most often talks about the sanctity of life for the unborn/preborn persons. Even though they’re the most innocent of all living humans…they’re not the only ones who are destroyed each day by the thousands. The lives of unbelievers come unraveled, shredded, and end each day by the choices they make.

One of the most egotistical religions out there is secular humanism. And humans by the millions are falling for this seductive religion which says there is no God…at least no God as portrayed in the Bible. In fact, different forms of this religion say you co-created yourself…and that one day you’ll return to that divine mind from whence you started this space/time continuum.

One guy, who will remain anonymous, has been debating me for years over this subject. He has a deep and abiding problem with Christians who, like me, say there is only One Way to be with God forever in paradise…to accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

On the one hand he talks about tolerance, diversity, and to borrow from Rodney King..”can’t we all just get along?” He’s a devout follower of the faith that says there is no absolute right or wrong.

On the other hand…if HE feels wronged, he’s quick to threaten with retribution.

He’s compared me (and Christianity) to Hitler on so many occasions I’ve lost count. Yet, ironically, I always condemn Hitler…while he says Adolph was merely doing what was right to Adolph.

I put it like this: the Bible says “the fool has said in his heart there is no God”…and I say “the bigger fool says I Am god.”

If you’re a secular humanist, please reconsider because you’ll do yourself no good in this life to hold onto that worldview. And worse than that…you’re committing eternal suicide. You will separate yourself from the only Source of Life, and your choice cannot be reversed once you die. Consider the big picture. Are you sure you’re right? Are you absolutely sure? You’d better be. The stakes are very high, and the consequences last forever.

Crosses Memorialize Abortion 1
Image by Vincent J. Brown via Flickr

Every Abortion Has At Least One Person Who Didn’t Get To “Choose”

And I mean e-v-e-r-y single abortion. The unborn person…the baby gets no choice. And I’d be willing to bet if the unborn babies got to choose, not one would choose to have his or her brain sucked out or arms ripped off. Call me wacky, but I can’t imagine anyone choosing for that to happen to their own body.

Watch the video, below, to see a doctor display to some kids just how a partial birth abortion happens. There is never a health reason for this to occur. It happens because of the hard-hearted mother, father, and medical team who performs the abortion.

And every single abortion is elective. There is never a need to kill the baby on purpose. Certainly there are times when a pregnancy may go wrong and endanger either the mother, the baby, or both. But that doesn’t mandate murdering the baby on purpose. The doctor should always attempt to save them both, and sometimes one or the other doesn’t survive. It’s OK for people to die…it’s not OK to murder them on purpose.

Watch the following video closely to see how wicked a doctor must be to go through with a partial birth abortion. If this is OK with you, I suggest you think long and hard about the road you’ve chosen to go down…

A Little Girl Named Tania Is The Youngest Singer I’ve Featured So Far

Thought you might get a kick out of this very young pro life musician singing a song her mother wrote called “Take My Hand”. Her mom must be very proud. Too bad over 51 million American kids never had the chance to sing for their moms.

Hey Professor! What’s A Fetus?!

I’d like you to take a little over 3 1/2 minutes of your day and watch this very interesting video. It shows “fetal development” from 7 weeks to 6 months. Even when I was a kid in school with a mind full of mush…if someone had shown me this video and asked what I was looking at…I would have said a baby. Or I might have said a human or a person or something similar. Point is…I wouldn’t have had any trouble identifying what I was looking at from the very beginning of the video.

While you watch the video you’ll get to listen to Johann Pachelbel’s “Canon in D”. It’s a beautiful piece of music which is, coincidentally, played at a lot of weddings. As you watch and listen…keep in mind…every single fetus you’ll see…from beginning to end…are legal to abort. And abortionists are doing just that to the tune of 4,000 times a day in America. If you can’t tell me these pictures are of human babies, can you tell me what they ARE? Check it out…

Even In San Francisco They Understand An Unborn Baby Is A Person

This is a video of the Walk For Life in San Francisco from January of 2010. The song isn’t blatantly pro life, but it’s a very good one. And the video shows images of people standing for the lives of the unborn…for the personhood of every human being…
