All About The Pro Life Musician Transformation

Yeah…I upgraded to Wordpress 2.8. And it all went smoothly. No hitch. No problem….no way!

My main page lost some of the cool color effect, and so I went in search of another Wordpress theme. I found several I sort of liked, but none of them would do what I wanted. So I came back to my original theme, and I’ll be working to find out who can fix this little bug.

My whole site endured a major transformation last night only to return to the starting point. It kinda reminds me of that old adage “the more things change, the more they stay the same”. So true in this case.

And that reminds me of how Paul, the “apostle to the Gentiles”, in the Bible was confined in prison multiple times essentially for telling the world about The Truth. He quickly found out that The Truth (which is how Jesus is God and He rose from the dead to show us we can have eternal life if we trust in Him) is unavoidably offensive to many.

So, what’s a humanist to do when someone offends them. Well…time out of course. If they deal with a kid, it’s time out in the corner or in their room. If they have to give a time out to an adult…that’s called jail time.

Even though it’s been about 2,000 years since Paul’s time (and his time outs) our wonderful “justice” system still manages to do the same thing. Some friends of mine are in jail as I write this. Their crime? They tried to rebuke fellow Christians who broke a promise in which God’s name was invoked. Those “Christians” took my friends to court, and my friends lost the case. They were tossed into jail for refusing to pay the fine.

They spoke The Truth, and they’re being persecuted for it. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Pro Life Musician Sings The Blues

Hi everyone…

I upgraded my Pro Life Musician blog to the latest Wordpress 2.8 version, and I’ve been having “issues”. There are some features missing and a bit of the theme is sort of goofed up.

But I reloaded some pages and download info, and almost all of the site is functioning properly, now. If you have any problems with it, please let me know what it/they is/are. OK? That way I can make sure to get it worked on first thing.

I appreciate your input, as always, and I’ll be back to my “normal” posts shortly.

What Do Tiller, Taxation, and Tyrants Have in Common?

Just like the Pro Life Musician and his blog…they’re all temporary.

You’ve probably heard the expression “this too shall pass”. Right? Well, one out of three of the “T’s” I mentioned has already experienced how temporary this life is. George Tiller is dead. I wish I could say taxation and tyrants are close behind…but I know they’re not.

I wrote a song around 1996 called “Say Yeah”. One of the lines I wrote was something I’d been saying for I don’t know how long before that. It said “Do you see the pattern form…how the wrong becomes the norm? Say yeah…say yeah!” Each passing month, in America, I see more things that should be universally viewed as wrong becoming the norm. I miss the country of my childhood.

Nowadays I read about Christians being jailed for protesting the death of unborn babies…while homosexuals are given more “rights” and allowed to have a parade where they’re practically nude. And they’re allowed to scream and spit at Christians with no retribution, but the Christians are very likely to be fined and/or jailed for simply holding a sign. With all their clothes on I must add.

Someone is fined a large sum of money and could most certainly face jail time for driving too fast. And a guy who murders his wife plays golf, does interviews, and “writes” books.

Wrong has become the norm. Jesus said that a tax of 10% is tyrannical. Yet we’re taxed at a combined rate of about 50% or more. That’s 5 times tyrannical. And with a cunning tyrant like our current president at the helm, it’s going to get much worse. Of course his predecessor started it, and others before started the snowball. But when an evil man is in control, good men and women need to keep their eyes and ears wide open.

Don’t let it get you down. This too shall pass, but while we’re still here, let’s not give the enemy anything. Please keep your prayers pointed to God. Pray for wisdom, strength, and courage. We win…

Take It From A Pro Life Musician Who’s Also A Pro

For most of my life I’ve earned my living as a professional musician. And that’s the only real way you can call yourself a pro…if you earn your money doing whatever it is you claim as your “pro” fession. Or if you can teach others to do the same.

In the so-called “great debate” over whether or not a woman has a “right” over her own body, the “pro choice” side is neither. Not “pro”…and not “choice”. They’re rank amateurs when it comes to using wisdom and seeing the big picture.

Being pro life, on the other hand, is logical, reasonable, wise, loving, compassionate to children, and never sacrifices one life for the convenience of another. To say you’re pro life means you’re FOR life. To say you’re pro choice means there’s a 50/50 chance a little baby is going to die. Period.

What’s “pro” about that?

If you don’t believe that “pro choice” means a baby can be killed, you haven’t seen the truth. Click here and take a look. Pro choice is not about giving a woman a higher quality of life or better opportunities. It’s about killing a baby or not killing a baby. Let’s see…hmm…should I kill my baby or not? Well, maybe I’ll just see if “it” has any diseases. That would be a good reason.

Or, you know what? The father’s not even gonna be around, and I can’t raise it by myself, so what’s a better alternative? I know…I’ll just kill it.

No…if you’re “pro choice”, you’re not FOR anything. You’re against human life. And most likely you hate God. And at the very least, you’re not using the brains you were designed with. Because if you were, you’d read and learn and open your eyes to the truth. IT’S not tissue. IT’S not merely atoms and molecules…

IT’S A BABY.

And if you’d only take the time to learn basic human biology, you’d find out so easily. If you could still do this barbaric thing or support this after knowing even the most basic details, you sicken me.

Thank God, there are plenty of loving people out there fighting for the rights of the unborn. Those of us who are Pro Life have lost many battles…but we haven’t lost our souls.

Without A Moral Compass Justice Is Often Served Up The Wrong Way

George Tiller was a murderer. There…I said it. And I got it out of the way to move on to my broader point.

However; justice was not served correctly by someone else becoming a murderer to stop Tiller’s murdering ways. God doesn’t give individuals the right to dish out justice because He knows far too many cannot be trusted with that responsibility. And this latest murder of an abortionist proves the point.

It would have been much better for George Tiller to be arrested, tried, and found guilty of a capital crime…and sentenced to die. He then could have been presented with the saving Grace of Jesus, repented, and found himself in a completely different place for eternity. He didn’t get that chance.

However; he had plenty of time on earth to turn from his violence against unborn children. Yet he chose to pursue the money and lifestyle that went along with being an abortionist. He now knows that was the worst choice he could have ever made.

So…on the one hand…I’m always sorry for those who die in their sin only to face the Creator of the universe without excuse. And on the other hand I’m glad God has made a place for those who hate Him….so they can be there for eternity…instead of in Heaven making it hell for those of us who love God.

That’s why I say I have mixed emotions. But don’t get me wrong. I’m not the least bit mixed up about where George Tiller should be right now. And I wouldn’t change that even if I could. And I would never want to be him or anyone like him.

I’m thankful to God for open eyes and a heart that seeks Him. While I thoroughly enjoy my role as a pro life musician, I’ll be much more thankful on that day when there’ll be no more need to fight evil…and thankful for the day when those of us who love Jesus will be able to rest from the battles of standing up for Him. We’ll help Him judge the world and live forever with Him in paradise.

Amen!
