Have You Noticed How Many Pro Life Music Stations There Are Out There?
Yeah…me neither.
I’m curious why so many Christian radio stations and Christian “recording artists” shy away from the Pro Life vs Pro Choice debate. And actually I’m not really too curious because I think I can take a pretty good guess why. But since life seems to be a core issue with God…and…since God is so adamant about protecting the innocent and punishing the guilty (not the other way around)…it appears to be a no-brainer.
Yet, pro life music…and I mean truly pro life music that stands for the right and personhood of every human being, born and not yet born, isn’t getting much airplay in America. That’s a sad fact. If you’re a Christian (and I’m thankful to say I am) and if you’re a musician, this is THE most important issue to sing about. If Christian singers and songwriters won’t sing and write about the murders of unborn babies…who on earth will? Madonna?Eminem? J-Lo? Usher? or D. none of the above? Correct answer: D
On a more positive note…this evening I spoke with a guy in New York who pays for a 15 minute Pro Life Music program on one of his local radio stations out of his own pocket. He found me online and liked my voice and music and contacted me to see if I’d be interested. I’ll be sending him some of my music to play on his program. Neither one of us makes any money from this…in fact, as I mentioned, he pays for the program himself. We’re just both interested in spreading the message about the horror of abortion. And we agreed that music is one of the best tools to do that!
Once I know more details I’ll let you in on ‘em. In the meantime…pray that more pro life music starts getting written and played on Christian radio. And, as always, I appreciate your support.
Stay tuned,

I write pro life music and I insert pro life messages in the praise and worship music I write my church.
Do you think God would prefer me to just write about His peace, love, and joy we can have in this life instead?
I don’t. After all…God is the source of life…and I don’t think it would take much of a leap of faith to believe He’s staunchly pro life. And all through the books of the Bible you’ll find very pro life messages, creation references, and even descriptions of how we were formed by Him in our mothers’ wombs. Very cool stuff. I took a line out of Psalm 22:10 and used it as an opening line of a song I wrote for church. It says “from my mother’s womb You have been my God”. And we can take life a step further back with another line I love in Jeremiah 1:5…”before I formed you in the womb I knew you…”
Just imagine…
God knew us before He formed us in our mothers’ wombs. And if we can be known by God even then…we must surely be persons…even then. There’s no reference in the Bible where God says that same thing about any rock or any other creature. So we must not only be persons from our very beginning…we must also be pretty special to God.
It’s beyond our power to comprehend our own beginning. But we can know it’s very important to God.
So we need to make it important to us and our fellow human beings. That’s why I write pro life music. And that’s why I’m unapologetic about inserting the pro life music into the praise and worship music I write. I encourage all Christian songwriters to examine my take on this. If you find me to be in conflict with God, call me on the carpet. If you find me to be in sync with God…join me.
And maybe we can create a pro life choir praising and worshiping God for His gift of life to each of us. Stranger things have happened.

Lies, Jeopardy, & The Pursuit of Selfishness
As the upcoming “election season” approaches think about this…Pro Life means FOR LIFE.
Without exceptions…and we’re talking about humans here. Not puppies. Not Bambi. Not some smiling fish in the sea. Humans!
I’m making my point, emphatically, because there seems to be a great deal of confusion among…um…humans. Many can’t seem to figure out just what that is inside a pregnant woman that’s making her belly stick out. News flash! It’s a human baby…from the moment the sperm fertilizes the egg all the components are there for another wonderful human life. All it will need is TLC…simply put…food, water, and a safe place to grow.
Many politicians, Planned Parenthood advocates, and millions of other “humans” give more TLC to their houseplants and their yards than they do to unborn human babies. And even some so-called pro-lifers provide for exceptions in their misbegotten efforts to battle abortion. Exceptions like a 24 hour waiting period before you kill a baby. Or getting parents’ consent before you kill a baby. And the list goes on. Gimme a break! Either you stand for life from the moment it begins…or you just don’t get it. And if you’re not sure when human life begins, why in the world would you say it’s OK to abort it? You don’t even know what “it” is. So leave “it” alone and find out.
If it saves even one life…isn’t it worth it?!
Every day tiny lives are in jeopardy, and indeed thousands are murdered at the hands of an abortionist who literally tears them limb from limb and sucks them out of their mother’s womb. Every day those abortionists, in pursuit of selfishness, are ending lives they can clearly see are human. And, in the process, are creating an eternity of misery for themselves and others.
At this time of year, when Americans celebrate our independence and freedom, think about the thousands of tiny Americans who will never see the light of day…or taste one tiny drop of freedom in this world. Their whole human existence will be violently ended before they take their first breath.
This cannot and will not go on indefinitely.
As you prepare to vote for your state representatives, senators, governors, etc…look closely at where they stand on this paramount issue. If they can’t say they’re pro life without exceptions, don’t vote for them. Period. Even if there’s an “R” beside their name.
If your choices are Hitler who would allow thousands to be aborted…or Stalin who would allow millions to be aborted…pick door number 3.
That’s called wisdom. And wisdom says “love your neighbor as yourself”. No matter how small that neighbor is.

Even Under The Weight Of Heavy Guilt…Hope Springs Eternal
Abortion is an issue far too many people (Christians as well as non-believers) have wrestled with in this life. And in many cases are wrestling with right now.
Thankfully we’re all created by the God who made a way out of the quagmire of guilt. And don’t think for a second that people who’ve experienced the trauma of abortion don’t wallow in guilt. They do. Even hardened hearts realize the “thing” they’re trying to get rid of is a human life.
I found a very good video with a song that talks about the process people might go through once they realize what they’ve done. They lament and wish they could undo the damage. Then they realize they need “help”. That help can only truly come through the healing grace of Jesus. Once they realize this…they can be restored.
This music and this video do a very nice job of presenting this process. It’s called “Let You Live”. Check it out…

Pregnancy Center In McAllen, Texas Has A 60% Conversion Rate
(And sorry I’m late in reporting…but…)
I haven’t been posting to my blog on the regular basis I was because I’ve been working on music projects for my tune businesses. I write tunes for kids, and I’ve been working on some fun, new music for my Ton-O-Fun Tunes website. And I’ve been writing praise and worship music for my church…so I’m creating a whole new set of tunes for a new website for Christians interested in some different praise and worship tunes.
That being said…I’d like to catch you up (a little) on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to.
In March I was contacted by Yolanda Chapa who runs the McAllen, Texas crisis pregnancy center. She said they were looking for a pro life musician to play some music for their fundraiser in May. And since my website is ProLifeMusician.com I popped up on the first page of her Google results. Cool!
We worked out the details, and I drove down to south Texas for the May 7th fundraiser.
I was greeted by a group of very pro life people who are vitally involved in the efforts to save our preborn neighbors…the little ones they call children…not choices. They not only talked the talk in the banquet…they walk the walk with sidewalk counseling and protesting in front of the local planned parenthood “clinic” just a couple of blocks from McAllen Pregnancy Center.
Senator Eddie Lucio emceed the event, and Bishop Daniel Flores gave a great keynote speech in English and Spanish. I’m neither Catholic nor of Hispanic descent, but I enjoyed their presentation very much. It was great to be involved with a group of like-minded people who understand that the humanity of an unborn child isn’t based on what religious affiliation we claim.
I played some background music during the dinner, and prior to the appeal they wanted me to play an appropriate song. One tune I wrote to encourage pro life advocates is a song called “We Win“. It’s a song of hope and exhortation to remember we Christians ultimately win…in spite of any losses we incur along the way…because we’re on the right team. We have Jesus. And if He’s for you, who can be against you? No one of any lasting consequence.
So I played the song, got a wonderful response, and then Senator Lucio returned to the podium and called me a “messenger of God”. Praise the Lord…I pray it’s true.
They had a great turn out with 465 people filling up the banquet hall of the McAllen Country Club. And many of the nice people came up and spoke to me afterward. I was very blessed to be a part of it. And Yolanda said they know where to look for music for next year’s event.
It would be great to be involved in similar pro life activities every day. So…I guess I’ll keep my blog going and see what happens.

Celebrating Human Life Should Be A No-Brainer
It seems like the most fundamental thing to me…celebrating human life.
I really don’t understand why so many humans put so much emphasis on the life of animals, plants, and other things on this planet. They’re concerned about so-called “endangered” species while defending a woman’s right to choose. And that choice kills a baby every time. Yep…unborn babies in America should be considered endangered…and protected.
The one effort (now a literal movement) which has the best chance to protect unborn babies once and for all is Personhood. You should really check out PersonhoodUSA.com And all I ask is that you keep this one thing in mind…you were once an unborn child.
You had a biological beginning. You were a person from that beginning, and you’ll always be a person. Please look for ways to see to it every unborn baby has the opportunity to experience this life. Speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves.
It’s the least we can do. Right?

Have you noticed the trend on TV toward pro life issues?
Neither have I.
In fact, there’s so much murder and mayhem you can barely tell one show from the next. And “crime solvers” have increasingly more sophisticated equipment and technology at their disposal.
Elgielene and I were talking, this morning, about how we’re gonna use our HD TV to watch only the programming we prefer. Yeah, that’s the good side of technology…you don’t have to watch the mind-numbing drivel Hollywood regularly regurgitates.
We’re looking forward to hooking our computer into the TV, downloading wholesome & uplifting content, popping some buttery popcorn, and enjoying the “little screen” again.
I wish millions more families would too. Maybe then TV networks would get a clue.
Probably not…
Stay tuned,
Tony
